Actress Trisha has mentioned that her engagement has not taken place. Trisha debuted as heroine in the film Lesa Lesa. She had acted in numerous Tamil films including Ghilli, Sami, Thirupaachi, Kireedam, Aaru, Bheema, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Mankatha. She is also one of the leading actresses of Telugu film industry.
She is currently acting in Yennai Arindhaal which has Ajith in the lead role. She had also paired with Jayam Ravi in the film Bhooloham. The shooting of the film has been completed and is ready for release. She has also been signed for the female lead role in Dhanush starrer.
There was constant news that Trisha is in love with Telugu actor Rana. Both of them were seen together in film functions and parties. They also visited foreign countries. All of a sudden both of them split and parted ways due to difference of opinions. It is understood that Trisha had quarreled with Rana because he had an affair with a Kannada actress.
At this juncture there was sensational news that Trisha was engaged to a Tamil producer Varun Manian. Varun Manian had recently produced the Tamil film Vaayai Moodi Pesavum. Dulquer Salman and Nazriya donned the lead roles in the film. Now he is producing the film Kaaviya Thalaivan which has Siddarth in the lead role. He is also in the construction business. Trisha and Varun Manian were good friends. There was a great commotion in the Tamil film industry when the news spread that Trisha was betrothed to Varun Manian.
Trisha has refuted this. She while speaking said, "My engagement function did not take place. It is a mere rumor. I don’t know where this rumour erupted from. My betrothal is an important thing in my life. I will be the first person to happily announce about it. I am pairing with Balakrishnan in a Telugu film. The shooting of the film is taking place in Arraku Valley. How can my betrothal function take place when I am shooting here?"
